Two rooms at the UW Vet Sciences Building. Kevin’s niece is arranging details.  Jan will contact the speaker about travel arrangements.  Kevin will book her room.  Leslie will take care of breakfast, Jan will arrange lunch, will use someone who delivers. Thanks Leslie and Jan.

Best Western Hotel $120 per night. Ask for Alpaca rate.  Hotel will provide shuttle if someone needs it. Parking ramp was free, Chris will check again for this year.  Chris will take care of name tags.  No raffle.  Let’s do some recognition for Kevin’s niece (gift card?).

Need to start thinking about a speaker for the next year 2020 so we can announce it at the January meeting. We try to balance fiber, health.  Suggestions from evaluations: finances, EPDs, genetics, Dr Evans, geriatric alpacas, neonatal, artificial insemination, histograms, and more. Discussion ensued.

Other Business

Giving Tuesday – Jan sent an email about how to set up a fundraiser if there is interest.  Discussion ensued, we aren’t able to take it on at this time.  Kevin motioned to not take it on, Leslie seconded.  Motion passed unanimously.

Discovery Building in Manitowoc agriculture center – GLAA made a donation (thank you L), and will have a plaque on the permanent tower. Will follow up with the center to see what opportunities will be available.

Spin Off registration for the Wisconsin Alpaca and Fiber Fest will open in early November. Wini Labreque will be the esteemed judge. Registration for the Spin-Off will close in early January, so start getting those entries ready. Need minimum of 36 entries.

Election cycle – Chris will check with Brook Landeau about heading the election committee. Jan will send the election timetable, and we can determine when to have the annual meeting.  It can be an electronic ballot and count as a meeting.

Next meeting will be on November 12, 6:30 p.m.
 Adjourned at 7:30 p.m.

Respectfully submitted by Chris Rogers, Secretary
