Welcome to the Spring edition of the GLAA newsletter. We hope everyone is continuing to stay safe and healthy. The GLAA board has continued to meet regularly and has the following news and reminders for you.
SAVE THE DATE!
The GLAA board is very pleased to announce that we have a date, a speaker, and a location for our 2022 seminar. Please save Saturday, March 5, 2022 for the next GLAA seminar. We have once again been fortunate to reserve space at the University of Wisconsin, College of Veterinary Medicine. Our speaker will be Dr. Amanda Onan, DVM. Dr. Onan is a graduate if the University of Wisconsin, School of Veterinary Medicine. She (and her father, Paul Meagher) are veterinarians at United Veterinary Service, located in Bear Creek, WI. Dr. Onan will be addressing current medical issues in the alpaca world. The hours will be 9 am – noon and 1 pm – 3 pm. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. We will have additional details as we get closer to the date.
REMINDER: 2021 GLAA Special Membership Dues
All GLAA members who were active in 2020 have had their memberships extended through 2021 with dues waived.
Anyone can join GLAA in 2021 for the special price of $25. (An annual membership is normally $50.) Please Join Us Here!!

The Pacific Northwest Alpaca Association (PNAA) has announced a Focus on Fiber Webinar series taught by leading industry experts, open to everyone, as well as a virtual AOA-certified fleece show in June, 2021. This is a reminder that if you are looking for a place to sell your animals or products, you can advertise them on the Openherd national marketplace.
